Known for the clarity of it's water, Arkansas' largest
lake stretches across 48,000 acres. Swimming, skiing, scuba diving and
fishing for bream, crappie, catfish, stripers and trout can be enjoyed in
open waters and quiet coves. At the lake's eastern tip, the state park
includes historic Three Sisters' Springs (accessible through a modern
springhouse), once thought to have curative powers.

One area of the lake features one of the largest crystal veins in the
world. This lake is a scuba diver's Haven with crystal clear water
featuring rare jellyfish (non-stinging) and sponges found in very few of
the cleanest freshwater lakes, not to mention world class striped bass
abound here as do most types of freshwater fish.
Nestled in the hills of the Ouachita National Forest,
where no homes are allowed, Lake Ouachita has over 1000 miles of shoreline
and over 200 islands where you can find your own private beach.
